Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a hands-on Mechanical Assembly Technician to assemble machine parts and sub-assemblies on the production floor. You will install frames, shafts, bearings, and motion parts, perform adjustments, and alignments while ensuring quality through self-inspection and teamwork with QA and engineering.

Fresh graduates are welcome. Familiarity with measuring tools and basic drawings is valued; prior crane or forklift experience is a bonus.

Qualifications

Certificate / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Experience in mechanical assembly or manufacturing environment is preferred.
Able to read basic mechanical drawings.
Familiar with hand tools and measuring instruments.
Ability to use measuring tools such as vernier callipers, micrometres, dial gauges, and torque wrenches is an added advantage.
Ability to operate overhead cranes safely is an added advantage.
Ability to drive forklift or reach truck is an added advantage.
Willing to work in production floor environment.
Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply (General Purpose track).

Responsibilities

Perform mechanical assembly of machine parts and sub-assemblies according to technical drawings and work instructions.
Install and fit mechanical components such as frames, shafts, bearings, couplings and motion parts.
Carry out mechanical adjustment, alignment and basic functional checking.
Assemble additional or customized mechanical modules when required.
Conduct self inspection and provide support to ensure that quality standards are met.
Assist in packing and preparing completed units for shipment.
Work closely with production, QA and engineering teams.
