Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an Assembly Technician to join our manufacturing team in Penang. You will assemble modules and sub-assemblies according to detailed drawings, perform quality inspections, and operate assembly tools with a focus on meeting production targets.

You will record production data, collaborate with Engineers, QA, and Production, and uphold strict safety standards while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. Training will be provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret technical and engineering drawings.
• Familiar with assembly tools and basic computer applications.
• Able to work independently, under pressure, and meet production deadlines.
• Proactive, responsible, and committed to producing quality work.
• Good communication skills and a strong team player.

Responsibilities

• Assemble modules and sub-assemblies according to technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
• Perform quality inspections to ensure products meet specifications.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot assembly tools and equipment.
• Record assembly activities, process changes, and production documentation accurately.
• Work closely with Engineers, QA, and Production teams to achieve production targets.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Identify assembly issues and implement corrective actions.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity and efficiency.
• Assist in monitoring inventory of assembly materials and components.
• Provide on-the-job training to new Assembly Technicians when assigned.
