Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to perform assembly, installation, and on-site setup of machines and conveyors in a fast-paced environment.

You will assist in testing, commissioning, and provide on-site technical support to production teams, while performing welding, machining, and fabrication tasks when needed. Strong reading of blueprints and problem-solving abilities are essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certification in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a mechanical technician or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams.
• Knowledge of welding, machining, and fabrication techniques is an advantage.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical assembly, installation, testing & on-site setup of the machine/conveyor based on the timelines.
• Assist in machine testing and commissioning.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment as needed.
• Provide technical support to production and project teams.
• Housekeeping and maintenance of workshop and tooling.
• Perform general troubleshooting on site.
• Carry out hot work such as welding and cutting.
• Assist electrical team for project development if required.
• Any ad hoc task as assigned by superior.
