Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an Assembly Technician to join our team in Penang. You will assemble mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical modules according to engineering drawings and work instructions.

Responsibilities include reading BOMs and technical docs, performing wiring and electrical assembly, and conducting self-inspections to ensure quality. You will use hand and power tools, maintain a safe workspace, and support testing and troubleshooting as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma or Technical Certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Manufacturing, or a related Engineering field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in module and system assembly.
• Ability to read assembly drawings and work instructions.
• Willing to work overtime when required.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical modules and systems per drawings and work instructions.
• Read and interpret assembly drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation.
• Perform mechanical fitting, wiring, and basic electrical assembly as required.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments correctly and safely.
• Conduct self-inspection to ensure assemblies meet quality standards and specifications.
• Identify and report assembly issues, defects, or non-conformities to the supervisor.
• Support testing, troubleshooting, and rework activities when required.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe working environment per 5S and safety policies.
• Ensure production targets are achieved while maintaining product quality.
• Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor or management.
