Job summary

Uni-Vessel Engineering in Malaysia is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to set up and operate CNC lathes and turning machines, performing precision machining tasks in a fast-paced shop.

You will load programs, adjust offsets, and edit paths, read blueprints and GD&T, select tooling, and ensure first-piece and in-process inspection meet tight tolerances. Maintenance, troubleshooting, and a strong commitment to safety and cleanliness are essential to keep our machines productive and our quality high.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and operate CNC lathe and turning machines to perform machining operations.
• Load CNC programs and set machine controller parameters. Edit paths and adjust offsets.
• Interpret technical drawings, engineering blueprints, and GD&T specifications.
• Select, mount, and align the appropriate cutting tools, attachments, and materials. Replace worn or broken tools as needed.
• Perform first piece and in-process inspection of finished workpieces using precision measuring equipment (micrometers, calipers, gauges) to ensure exact adherence to specifications and quality standards.
• Perform routine machine maintenance, monitor machine behavior, and troubleshoot mechanical or programming errors.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols, wearing required protective gear, and properly disposing of cutting waste.
