Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a skilled CNC lathe/turning operator to manufacture precision cylindrical components from engineering drawings. You will load bar stock, set up chucks and cutting tools, and run programs while monitoring feeds, speeds, and tolerances to keep output within specification.

You will perform in-process inspection with calipers and micrometers, adjust tools when needed, report anomalies, and maintain workplace cleanliness.

Qualifications

• Experience operating CNC lathe/turning machines preferred.
• Competent in using calipers, micrometers, height gauges.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and work independently with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathe/turning machines to produce precision components from drawings.
• Load bar stock, select chucks/collets/tools, and set feed rates, spindle speeds, and depths.
• Edit CNC programs (G-code/M-code) and tool offsets to correct dimensional deviations.
• Conduct in-process inspection using calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools to verify dimensions.
• Monitor tool wear and coolant flow; replace tools as needed to maintain quality.
• Report machine malfunctions or abnormal conditions to supervisor immediately.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and housekeeping.
