Job summary

Current Power Technology Malaysia Sdn Bhd in Klang, Selangor is seeking a skilled CNC machinist to join our production team. You will independently set up and operate CNC milling and lathe machines, read technical drawings, and ensure dimensional accuracy with GD&T.

Experience with CAM software (Mastercam, SolidCAM, InventorCAM or similar) and measuring tools is essential. Mandarin communication is required for work purposes, and you will collaborate with engineering and quality teams to

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in CNC machining, milling or lathe operations.
• Able to communicate in Mandarin for work purposes.
• Able to independently set up and operate CNC machines.
• Knowledge of G-code and M-code programming.
• Experience with CAM software such as Mastercam, SolidCAM, InventorCAM or similar.
• Able to read technical drawings, dimensions, tolerances and GD&T.
• Familiar with measuring tools such as vernier calipers, micrometers and height gauges.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC milling and CNC lathe machines.
• Prepare tools, clamp workpieces and set machine work origins according to technical drawings.
• Load, edit and optimize CNC programs using G-code and M-code.
• Perform 2D and 3D programming using CAM software when required.
• Monitor machining processes and ensure finished products meet quality requirements.
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools.
• Perform basic machine maintenance and daily inspections.
• Troubleshoot basic machining and equipment issues.
• Maintain production records and follow 5S and workplace safety standards.
• Work closely with production, engineering and quality teams.
