Job summary

KMWE Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a Manufacturing Technician in Bayan Lepas to assemble modules per drawings, perform quality checks, and maintain documentation. You will operate and troubleshoot assembly tools, work with Engineers and QA to meet targets, and follow safety protocols.

Ideal candidates have a diploma in mechanical/mechatronic fields or 1–3 years of related experience, with strong teamwork and a proactive attitude. Training will be provided for new technicians.

Qualifications

• Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering, or 1–3 years related experience.
• Able to read and interpret technical and engineering drawings.
• Familiar with assembly tools and basic computer applications.
• Able to work independently, under pressure, and meet production deadlines.
• Proactive, responsible, and committed to producing quality work.
• Good communication skills and a strong team player.

Responsibilities

• Assemble modules and sub-assemblies according to technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
• Perform quality inspections to ensure products meet specifications.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot assembly tools and equipment.
• Record assembly activities, process changes, and production documentation accurately.
• Work closely with Engineers, QA, and Production teams to achieve production targets.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Identify assembly issues and implement corrective actions.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity and efficiency.
• Assist in monitoring inventory of assembly materials and components.
• Provide on-the-job training to new Assembly Technicians when assigned.
