Job summary

Plexus Manufacturing Sdn Bhd in Bayan Lepas, Penang, is seeking an Assembly Technician to support daily production, perform setup and buyoff for semiconductor equipment, and read technical drawings to carry out assembly tasks.

You will handle mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting, use tools and meters, and maintain safety and 5S in the production area. Fresh graduates are welcome; shift work required.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical/ Mechanical/ Mechatronic Engineering with 1+ year equipment setup experience.
• Knowledge of wire harness manufacturing processes and materials.
• Experience with wire harness testing and validation.
• Proficient in MS Office applications (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
• Able to read and understand English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, changing environment and on shifts.
• Fresh graduates with engineering diplomas are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for assembly, setup and buyoff for semiconductor equipment system.
• Supporting daily production operation.
• Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic troubleshooting and repair.
• Read and interpret drawings, assembly instructions and work orders.
• Use hand/power tools, meters and material handling equipment.
• Detect faulty operations and report to supervision.
• Support engineers in reducing cycle time and quality improvement.
• Perform daily 5S housekeeping in production area.
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean, orderly work areas.
