Job summary

RUNJIAN (M) SDN. BHD. is seeking a Pre-Sales Engineer for distributed solar PV in Kuala Lumpur. You will conduct technical consultations, assess site viability, and prepare proposals with ROI analyses.

You will collaborate with engineering, procurement, and project teams to ensure technical feasibility, support the sales team, and respond to tenders while keeping abreast of local regulations and market trends.

Qualifications

• Malaysian citizen or eligible to work in Malaysia.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in solar PV pre-sales, system design, or electrical engineering.
• Familiar with distributed solar PV system design, equipment selection, and project cost estimation.
• Knowledge of Malaysian solar regulations and utility requirements (e.g., TNB).
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office; PV design tools like PVsyst/Helioscope preferred.
• Strong analytical, presentation, and customer communication skills.
• Proficient in English or Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct technical consultations with C&I customers to understand energy needs and propose distributed solar PV solutions.
• Perform site assessments, analyze consumption data, and evaluate project feasibility.
• Prepare technical proposals, system layouts, energy yield analysis, ROI calculations, and quotations.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and project teams to ensure feasibility.
• Support sales during presentations, technical discussions, and negotiations.
• Review tender documents and prepare technical responses for bidding.
• Liaise with utilities, consultants, and authorities on technical requirements and grid connection.
• Stay updated on Malaysia's solar market, standards, incentives, and regulations.

Conduct technical consultations with commercial and industrial (C&I) customers to understand their energy requirements and propose suitable distributed solar PV solutions.

Perform preliminary site assessments, analyze electricity consumption data, and evaluate project feasibility.

Prepare technical proposals, system layouts, energy yield analysis, ROI calculations, and commercial quotations.

Coordinate with the engineering, procurement, and project execution teams to ensure proposed solutions are technically feasible.

Support the sales team during customer presentations, technical discussions, and project negotiations.

Review tender documents and prepare technical responses for bidding activities.

Liaise with utility companies, consultants, and relevant authorities regarding technical requirements and grid connection matters.

Keep up to date with Malaysia's solar market, industry standards, government incentives, and utility regulations.

Job Requirements

Malaysian citizen or candidate with full working rights in Malaysia.

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
