Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Pre-sales Engineer to provide technical guidance, solutions, and support to customers in the cloud-native and container platform space. The role is primarily remote, with occasional travel to client sites in Malaysia.

You will collaborate with the sales team to identify opportunities, prepare proposals, and ensure successful implementations. This is a third-party contract role with a hybrid work arrangement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in CS, CE, or related field.
• Experience in IT or Internet-related companies preferred.
• Familiarity with mainstream cloud computing technologies.
• Experience in pre-sales, R&D, or system operations.
• Strong communication and ability to explain technical concepts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Mandarin-speaking is required for local communication.
• Willing to travel to client sites in Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site technical guidance and training during product trials.
• Work with sales to identify opportunities and provide pre-sales technical solutions.
• Prepare project proposals, bids, test reports, implementation plans.
• Gather and analyze customer and market requirements and provide feedback to product/R&D.
• Participate in marketing activities, keynote presentations, and technical exchanges with partners.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Provide on-site technical guidance and training during product trials, troubleshoot customer issues, and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Work closely with the sales team to identify business opportunities, understand customer requirements, and provide pre-sales technical solutions.
• Prepare project proposals, bids, test reports, implementation plans, and other technical documents.
• Gather and analyze customer and market requirements and provide timely feedback to product and R&D teams.
• Participate in marketing activities, keynote presentations, and technical exchanges with business partners.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in IT or Internet-related companies is preferred;
• Familiarity with mainstream cloud computing technologies and related products is preferred.
• Experience in pre-sales, R&D, or system operations and maintenance is preferred.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.
• Mandarin-speaking is required to support local client communication.
• Willing to travel to client sites in Malaysia when required.
