Job summary

ASUS Malaysia is seeking a hands-on PR & Communications professional to strengthen media presence, brand reputation and corporate storytelling. This individual contributor role focuses on turning business and technology stories into compelling narratives while managing PR initiatives independently with internal and external teams.

You will build relationships with media, coordinate press materials, identify opportunities, and drive product launch communications for the Malaysian market.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing or related field.
• 4–6 years of relevant PR/Corporate Communications experience.
• Strong understanding of the Malaysian media landscape with established media relationships.
• Excellent English writing and editing skills with Bahasa Malaysia proficiency.
• Experience developing press releases, media materials and messaging.
• Experience managing media engagement, product launches or corporate communications projects independently.
• Agency and/or in-house PR experience will be considered.
• Knowledge of technology, consumer electronics or related brands is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with media, journalists, technology reviewers, KOLs and industry stakeholders.
• Develop and localise press releases, media statements, key messages, talking points and other materials.
• Proactively identify PR opportunities and secure media coverage, interviews and product reviews.
• Develop compelling corporate, brand and product stories for the Malaysian market.
• Support executive communications including speeches and event scripts.
• Monitor media coverage and coordinate responses to reputation issues.
• Plan and manage PR activities for product launches, media briefings and press conferences.
• Collaborate with Product Marketing, Digital Marketing and other internal teams for consistent messaging.
• Manage PR agencies and external partners to ensure timely, quality campaigns.
• Track PR performance and campaign outcomes to improve visibility and effectiveness.
• Support CSR/ ESG communications and strategic partnerships when needed.
