Job summary

Highstar Energy Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a dedicated quality inspector to monitor production processes, perform first-piece inspections, and judge product acceptance in the battery workshop. You will sample WIP, maintain inspection records, manage nonconforming products, and support SPC/GR&R data collection to drive process improvements.

The role requires at least 1 year of on-site quality management experience, strong organizational and communication skills, and familiarity with quality

Qualifications

• High school diploma or above; preferred majors include Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or Electrochemistry.
• Strong knowledge of quality management techniques and tools.
• Experience with quality data collection and inspection documentation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine monitoring and inspections of the production process in the workshop, including first-piece inspection and product acceptance judgments.
• Perform sampling inspections of WIP products per specifications and maintain inspection records.
• Carry out routine patrol inspections per the Control Plan and report quality information.
• Monitor nonconforming products to prevent unintended use or shipment.
• Apply statistical techniques to monitor and improve process quality.
• Assist Quality Engineer/Supervisor in collecting quality data for the lithium battery workshop.
• Assist in SPC and GR&R data collection and submission for testing of WIP and finished products.
• Provide improvement suggestions for work instructions and inspection standards.
