Job summary

HTC Global Services in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia seeks an experienced Power BI Developer to design, build, and optimize dashboards and reports aligned with business needs. You will implement complex DAX calculations, perform data modeling, and transform data using Power Query and Dataflows, while leveraging Azure Synapse Analytics for large-scale analytics.

The role requires 3–5 years of hands-on BI experience, strong SQL and SSMS skills, and a track record of delivering reliable, scalable BI

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Professional Qualification in Computer Science, IT, Data Analytics, or related field.
• 3–5 years of hands-on Power BI report and dashboard development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience in Microsoft Power BI and DAX.
• Solid knowledge of Power Query, Data Modeling, and Dataflows.
• Strong SQL skills including query development, optimization, and stored procedures.
• Experience with SQL Server / SSMS and Azure Synapse Analytics.
• Experience developing Power BI reports in on-premises and cloud environments.
• Experience in BI, reporting, data analytics, and enterprise data environments.
• Banking or financial services experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports based on business requirements.
• Develop advanced DAX measures and calculations for complex reporting needs.
• Perform data modeling and transformation using Power Query and Dataflows.
• Develop, optimize, and maintain SQL queries and stored procedures for data extraction and transformation.
• Work with Azure Synapse and enterprise data warehouses to support large-scale reporting and analytics.
• Ensure data models and dashboards are accurate, performant, scalable, and reliable.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Data Engineers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into solutions.
• Participate in requirements analysis, technical design, development, testing, deployment, and post-production support.
• Support SIT and UAT, including issue investigation and resolution.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation covering data models, report specs, workflows, and deployment processes.

Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and visual analytics based on business requirements. Work with Azure Synapse and enterprise data warehouse environments to support large-scale reporting and analytics. Ensure data models, reports, and dashboards are accurate, performant, scalable, and reliable.

• Develop, optimize, and maintain SQL queries, functions, and stored procedures for data extraction and transformation
• Work with Azure Synapse and enterprise data warehouse environments to support large-scale reporting and analytics
• Ensure data models, reports, and dashboards are accurate, performant, scalable, and reliable
• Work closely with Business Analysts, Data Engineers, application teams, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical reporting solutions

About you

• Bachelor's Degree or Professional Qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related discipline
• 3–5 years of hands‑on experience in Power BI report and dashboard development
• Strong hands‑on experience in Microsoft Power BI
• Strong knowledge of DAX, Power Query, Data Modelling, and Dataflows
• Strong SQL skills, including query development, optimization, functions, and stored procedures
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server / SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)
• Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics and enterprise data warehousing
• Experience developing Power BI reports in both on‑premises and cloud environments
• Strong experience in BI, reporting, data analytics, and enterprise data environments
• Experience in banking or financial services is preferred
