Job summary

Unison Group in Malaysia seeks a Senior Power BI Data Modelling Consultant to design enterprise-grade semantic models and data solutions. The role focuses on semantic modeling in Power BI, VertiPaq/Import Mode, and implementing security models.

Key responsibilities include building scalable data models, integrating SQL Server and Oracle data, and supporting Microsoft Fabric Dataflows and Data Factory implementations. Strong communication with data engineers and business teams is required.

Qualifications

• Experience designing semantic models in Power BI for enterprise reporting.
• Strong knowledge of VertiPaq/Import Mode optimization.
• Proficient in building Composite Models with appropriate storage modes.
• Implementing Row-Level Security (RLS) across reports.
• Managing Power BI Workspace Security & RBAC.
• Experience with SQL Server and Oracle data integration.
• Modeling enterprise data with CDM/EDM standards.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric Dataflows/Data Factory.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and optimize Power BI Semantic Models for enterprise reporting.
• Build scalable data models using VertiPaq/Import Mode and optimize performance.
• Design and implement Composite Models using appropriate storage modes.
• Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and manage Workspace RBAC.
• Integrate and model data from SQL Server and Oracle sources.
• Define Common Data Models (CDM) / Enterprise Data Models (EDM).

• Use Python/R to support analytics requirements.
• Establish data modelling standards and governance across BI solutions.
