Job summary

HTC Global Services MSC Sdn Bhd is seeking a Power BI Developer to design and implement dashboards and reports based on business needs. You will work with Azure Synapse and enterprise data warehouses to support large-scale analytics, ensuring performance and reliability.

The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of hands-on BI experience, strong SQL and DAX skills, and a proven track record in building scalable data models for banking or financial services environments.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in Power BI report and dashboard development.
• Strong hands-on experience in Microsoft Power BI.
• Strong knowledge of DAX, Power Query, Data Modelling, and Dataflows.
• Strong SQL skills, including query development, optimisation, functions, and stored procedures.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server / SSMS.
• Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics and enterprise data warehousing.
• Experience developing Power BI reports in both on-premises and cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and visual analytics based on business requirements.
• Develop advanced DAX measures and calculations to support complex reporting needs.
• Perform data modelling and transformation using Power Query and Dataflows.
• Develop, optimize, and maintain SQL queries, functions, and stored procedures for data extraction and transformation.
• Work with Azure Synapse and enterprise data warehouse environments to support large-scale reporting and analytics.
• Ensure data models, reports, and dashboards are accurate, performant, scalable, and reliable.
• Collaborate with Analysts, Data Engineers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into reporting solutions.
• Participate in requirements analysis, technical design, development, testing, deployment, and post-production support.
• Support SIT and UAT, including issue investigation, troubleshooting, and resolution.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation covering data models, report specifications, workflows, and deployment processes.

• Work closely with Business Analysts, Data Engineers, application teams, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical reporting solutions

About you

• Bachelor's Degree or Professional Qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related discipline
• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in Power BI report and dashboard development
• Strong hands-on experience in Microsoft Power BI
• Strong knowledge of DAX, Power Query, Data Modelling, and Dataflows
• Strong SQL skills, including query development, optimisation, functions, and stored procedures
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server / SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)
• Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics and enterprise data warehousing
• Experience developing Power BI reports in both on-premises and cloud environments
• Strong experience in BI, reporting, data analytics, and enterprise data environments
• Experience in banking or financial services is preferred
