Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a supervisor to manage and supervise the powder coating line, including operators, processes, rework, spray booth cleaning, and color control. You will plan daily output, design finishing workflows, and ensure on-time delivery by coordinating with QA teams.

Maintain 5S, safety initiatives and provide continuous improvement in finishing quality. Strong problem-solving and communication skills are essential to liaise with customers and resolve issues.

Qualifications

• STPM/Certificate in Mechanical or Chemical engineering required.
• Powder coating and/or silk screen experience preferred.
• Finish quality control and process improvement knowledge.
• Record keeping of powder coating process parameters.
• Ability to set up equipment parameters for FA/MP and color control.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-house training to sprayer, degreasing team, handler & inspectors.

Provide in house training to sprayer, degreasing team, handler & inspectors.

Oversee quality, output, productivity and timely delivery of goods produced.

Daily planning, scheduling and preparation of output/ yield report.

Design new product finishing work flow, rework method & salvaging of non-compliance goods.

To manage and supervise all powder coating line/ batch operation including operators, processes, rework, spray booth cleaning, changing of powder colour & misc activities.

Knowledge in powder coating test, spec & other requirements.

Carry out powder coating process control: Spray gun system, pretreatment, paint booth, curing oven temperature profiling.

Powder coating equipment parameter setup in FA (First Article) & MP (Mass Prod) and color control under various of meter/gauge uses.

Record keeping of various parameters within powder coating processes.

Liaison with QA teams & customer to solve quality issues.

Troubleshooting of powder coating related quality issues & finding best solution.

Maintain good 5S, safety & health initiatives.

Qualification:

Candidate must possess at least a STPM/ Certificate in Mechanical/Chemical or any relevant Engineering fields.

Experience in Powder Coating and/or Silk Screen process is preferred.

Knowledge in finishing quality control and process improvement.

Good problem-solving and communication skills.

Able to work independently and as a team.
