Job summary

Altera's Bayan Lepas team in Penang is seeking a post-silicon validation engineer to bridge pre-silicon models with real silicon performance. You will develop validation pattern sets, execute static and dynamic power measurements, and perform timing characterization across advanced Multi-Chip Package FPGAs, driving accuracy and yield.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field with 3 to 6 years of hands-on industry experience in post-silicon validation, test engineering, or hardware characterization.
• Experience in static/dynamic power measurement, timing characterization, and power domain analysis for complex ICs or FPGAs.
• Hands-on experience with ATE tester platforms and scripting languages (Python, Perl, Tcl) for automated test execution and data analysis.
• Solid understanding of digital logic design, advanced packaging (MCP), and programmable logic architectures.
• Strong problem-solving skills with experience using statistical methods to evaluate silicon data trends.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute post-silicon validation plans for power consumption and timing on FPGA architectures.
• Create, optimize, and debug MCP-focused validation pattern sets for core logic.
• Drive tests on varied ATE platforms and bench setups for volume characterization.
• Correlate silicon performance with pre-silicon models through data analysis.
• Perform deep-dive data analysis to support product speed and yield strategies.
• Collaborate with global chip designers and test teams to resolve silicon issues.
