Job summary

Altera is seeking a focused post-silicon validation engineer in Bayan Lepas, Penang, to drive validation of timing and power models for our MCP FPGAs. You will bridge pre-silicon expectations with silicon reality, develop validation patterns, and lead characterization on ATE platforms to optimize yield and speed.

In this role you will collaborate with global chip designers and test teams to debug issues, analyze data trends, and contribute to product quality and performance improvements.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical/Electronic Engineering with 3–6 years post-silicon validation experience.
• Experience with static/dynamic power measurement and timing characterization.
• Proficient in Python, Perl, or Tcl for automated testing and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute post-silicon validation plans across MCP FPGA architectures.
• Create validation pattern sets for MCP and core logic.
• Lead ATE platform characterization and bench setup preparations.
• Analyze silicon performance data to validate pre-silicon models.
• Perform deep-dive data analysis to identify performance trends.
• Collaborate with global chip designers and test teams to resolve issues.
