Job summary

Terberg Tractors Malaysia is seeking a Service Engineer to lead and manage the full spectrum of engineering service operations at major ports across Malaysia. You will drive operational excellence, service quality and customer satisfaction while ensuring safety standards are met.

Role involves coordinating service teams, optimizing resources, and collaborating with Parts to identify service sales opportunities, including support for continuous improvement initiatives and special projects as

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical/automotive/mechatronics engineering or related field.
• Strong understanding of prime mover systems and engineering design principles.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with customers, contractors and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily service operations at port sites to ensure smooth maintenance activities.
• Lead, coordinate and supervise service teams to deliver high-quality maintenance and repair services.
• Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance aligns with Terberg standards and service quality requirements.
• Maintain strong customer relationships with timely technical support and updates.
• Analyze service performance, plan manpower, manage scheduling and optimize resources.
• Ensure timely completion of service work and accurate recovery of service charges.
• Collaborate with Parts team to identify service sales opportunities and add value for customers.
• Support continuous improvement to enhance service efficiency and equipment reliability.
• Undertake special projects as directed by Management.
• Ensure compliance with Environmental, Safety and Health requirements through inspections and training.
