Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated in Bayan Lepas, Malaysia, invites a proactive Preventive Maintenance Technician to join our facilities team. You will perform scheduled PM and basic CM on HVAC and mechanical equipment, ensuring safe, reliable operation and compliance with SOPs.

Qualifications

• Certificate or Diploma in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, Mechanical Engineering, HVAC, or a related technical field.
• Fresh graduates / fresh candidates are encouraged to apply.
• Basic knowledge of refrigeration, air-conditioning, HVAC and mechanical systems.
• Willing to learn preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of facility equipment.
• Basic knowledge of safety requirements and maintenance practices.
• Able to work as part of a team and follow instructions, Job Plans and SOPs.
• Candidates with practical training, internship, or hands-on experience in HVAC maintenance will have an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, and basic corrective maintenance for facility HVAC and mechanical equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation.
• Perform scheduled PM activities according to approved Job Plans, SOPs, checklists, safety requirements, and maintenance schedules.
• Inspect equipment condition and identify abnormal conditions, defects, leakage, vibration, noise, temperature, and other abnormalities.
• Record PM findings accurately in checklists, work orders, and maintenance systems.
• Raise corrective maintenance (CM) work orders when defects or abnormal conditions are identified.
• Follow approved Job Plans, SOPs, risk assessments, and Permit to Work requirements.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are performed safely and in accordance with site EHS requirements.
• Support troubleshooting and breakdown maintenance when required.
• Coordinate with the PM Lead, Facilities Engineer, SME, and System Owner for equipment issues.
• Maintain good housekeeping after completion of maintenance activities.
• Ensure tools, spare parts, and equipment are properly maintained and available for PM activities.
• Support equipment testing and functional checks after maintenance.
• Escalate critical equipment abnormalities and potential failures immediately.
• Support audits and provide maintenance records when required.

Preventive Maintenance Technician Responsible for carrying out preventive maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, and basic corrective maintenance for facility HVAC and mechanical equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation.
