Job summary

INSCALE is seeking a Platform Architect to define and evolve the enterprise runtime platform strategy across our cloud and on-prem environments in Malaysia. You will ensure scalable, secure, standardized platform services that accelerate delivery and operations.

You will lead architecture for runtime and platform services, drive IaC adoption, collaborate with engineering, and establish governance and roadmaps to enable self-service and reliable deployments.

Qualifications

• Extensive Linux-based enterprise experience.
• Deep knowledge of containers and cloud-native platforms.
• Hands-on IaC with Terraform/Ansible.
• Strong architectural and stakeholder management skills.

The Platform Architect is responsible for defining, documenting, and continuously evolving the enterprise runtime platform strategy. The role ensures scalable, secure, and standardized platform services that enable efficient application delivery and operations across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the target architecture for runtime and application platforms.
• Design standardized platform services for containerized and cloud-native workloads.
• Establish architectural principles, standards, and governance for platform engineering.
• Drive automation and Infrastructure as Code adoption.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to enable self-service capabilities and platform consumption.
• Evaluate and introduce new technologies, tools, and best practices.
• Ensure platform security, reliability, scalability, and operational excellence.
• Create and maintain platform documentation, reference architectures, and technical roadmaps.

Technical Requirements (Must Have)

• Extensive experience in Linux-based enterprise environments (Cloud and on-prem).
• Strong expertise in platform engineering.
• Deep knowledge of containers (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Hands‑on experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
• Strong architectural and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable platform solutions.

Technical Requirements (Good to Have)

• Strong expertise in DevOps methodologies.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions)
• Experience with Kubernetes tools (Helm, ArgoCD, OpenShift)
• Knowledge of monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk)
• Experience with DevSecOps practices
• Cloud certifications (AWS/Azure/GCP)

Education

Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Software Engineering or equivalent relevant technical discipline and/or equivalent experience
