Key Accountabilities
- Oversee and be responsible in assisting production supervisor for the overall operation of GCC plant’s production and processes. To operate, monitor, control, and to conduct site routine inspection for the process of manufacturing GCC products. Well verse and able to show high competency of the entire GCC manufacturing processes, ranging from product’s feeding, milling, classification/separation, product’s transportation, products storage, process control interlocking, process equipment limitations, alarms, and etc.
- Ensure plant’s operation to meet & achieve production target for various types of products. To ensure plant is operated according to Omya’s regulatory practice, i.e. safety operations, cost efficient, high production throughput, minimum plant’s downtime, and etc Ensure that all tasks are conducted safely and in alignment with Omya's policy as well as the relevant laws and regulations set by local government authorities. Comply with Omya's Life Saving Rules and adherence to Omya's core values.
- To conduct and operate products loading works to bulk delivery.
- To keep good daily records of raw material consumption, production output, and to generate production/plant’s operation log-sheet.
- To initiate and inform production executive for necessary material replenishment such as lubricants, and etc.
- To carry out product’s sampling test in order to ensure products are produced within the correct quality control and specifications.
- To carry out daily equipment inspection works, i.e. visual inspection, raw material and products level, rotating equipment’s oil level, topping-up lubrication oil, rectification of plant’s operation alarm, acknowledging/reset plant’s alarms, and etc. Ensure thorough documentation of inspection results to support analysis by the Maintenance Planner or Production Executive.
- To conduct necessary repairs to plant’s process, equipment, instrumentation in order to maintain plant’s operability.
- To assist maintenance to carry out or perform necessary maintenance activities when required or instructed.
- To assist in maintaining plant housekeeping in acceptable condition and orderly manner.
- To assist and carry out all operation’s trouble-shooting works when required.
- To undertake, abide, and carry out any relevant assignments directed by the management of the company.
- Operate and ensure all production equipment is running in safe manner and within optimum performance.
- Follow standard operating procedures in handling raw materials, chemicals, and finished products, accordance to ISO 9001 and IMS 45001 guidelines.
- Quality, Safety, Health and Environment Responsible for housekeeping in the plant and maintaining a clean, safe and clutter free work environment.
- Know the significant quality, safety & health, and environmental (QSHE) aspects/ impacts associated with work, including relevant legal/ other requirements and emergency preparedness and response.
- Understand and use the Corporate Sustainability Policy and the Integrated Management System (IMS) as guidance to continuously improve the QSHE aspects of job.
- Comply with the applicable laws and regulations established by local government authorities, such as DOSH, MOE, Labor Office and Others.

Education
- High school/diploma or equivalent academic qualification
Experience
- 2 years of industrial / manufacturing experience in a chemical or related field.
- Experience in a maintenance role for a manufacturing or related operation.
- Knowledge and skills
- Computer skills and laboratory experience are preferred.
- Basic chemistry knowledge preferred.
- Ability to communicate efficiently verbally and in writing with coworkers, supervisors and customers.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, overtime, and weekends, including operating facility alone on nights and weekends.
- Ability to work inside and occasionally outside exposed to heat, cold, dirt, and noise.
