Job summary

Gradiant in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a hardworking Plant Operator for our water and wastewater treatment plant. No prior experience needed—training will be provided, and shift work is required.

You will operate and monitor the plant, record readings, manage chemicals, follow safety rules, and participate in maintenance and handovers; the role offers on-the-job training and overtime opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor the water and wastewater treatment plant following SOPs.
• Record daily plant readings and chemical usage.
• Top up chemicals, perform backwash and desludging as required.
• Follow safety rules and ensure discharge water meets DOE standards.
• Report problems to supervisor and keep the plant area clean.
• Assist with basic maintenance and equipment checks.
• Provide proper handover with teammates during shift changes.
• Attend trainings and meetings as required.

Job Overview

We are looking for a hardworking and responsible Plant Operator to join our water and wastewater treatment plant. No prior experience needed — training will be provided. If you are disciplined, willing to learn, and don't mind shift work, this could be a good fit for you.

What You Will Do

• Operate and monitor the water/wastewater treatment plant following the SOP given
• Record daily plant readings and chemical usage
• Top up chemicals, do filter backwash, desludging, and general plant upkeep
• Follow safety rules and make sure discharge water meets DOE standards
• Report any problems or breakdowns to your supervisor
• Keep the plant area clean and tidy
• Help with basic maintenance and equipment checks
• Do proper handover with your teammates during shift change
• Attend trainings and meetings as required

What We're Looking For

• Minimum SPM or equivalent
• 18 years and above
• Willing to work rotating shifts (including night, weekend, and public holiday)
• Disciplined and can work with minimal supervision
• Good team player
• Have own transport and a smartphone
• Can read and write in Bahasa Melayu and/or English
