Job summary

SAR-ALAM INDAH SDN. BHD. is seeking a Plant Manager in Kuching, Sarawak to oversee manpower, machineries, equipment and materials for smooth plant operations.

The role includes planning and supervising maintenance work, budgeting and ensuring regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering, with at least 2 years of Plant/Operations Management experience, and strong English and Bahasa Melayu communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in plant/manufacturing maintenance and equipment troubleshooting.
• Strong leadership, negotiation and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage operation and maintenance activities including coordinating and reviewing work plans for operations and routine or specialized maintenance work.
• Provide administrative and technical directions to department staff ensuring adherence to company regulations, policies and procedures.
• Conduct, review and evaluate work methods and procedures to improve organizational performance and achieve department goals.
• Develop and monitor operational budget; participate in the forecast of necessary funds for manpower, materials and supplies; administer and monitor the approved budget to avoid cost overrun.
• Monitor, implement and review the health and safety plan, and formulate new procedures as required.

About you

Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

Minimum 2 years working experience as Plant Manager or Operation Manager

Good writing and communication skills in both English and Bahasa Melayu

Possess strong technical background with extensive knowledge and/or experience in maintenance, equipment troubleshooting and project management

Strong problem solving and analytical abilities at a strategic and functional level
