Job summary

Bell Ward in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Plant Controller to oversee financial management and performance of a manufacturing plant. You will partner with business leadership to drive financial performance, cost efficiency and informed decision-making.

You will lead budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis and variance reporting, collaborating with Operations, Supply Chain and Procurement to identify savings and productivity opportunities. Strong Excel and ERP skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; professional qualifications are an advantage (ACCA/CIMA/CPA).
• Minimum 8 years of finance/accounting experience in manufacturing environment.
• Solid experience in plant controlling, cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.

Responsibilities

• Oversee plant financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and monthly financial reporting.
• Monitor and analyse manufacturing costs, production variances, labour costs, overheads and inventory.
• Drive cost control and cost improvement initiatives to boost plant profitability and efficiency.
• Partner with Plant Operations, Supply Chain and Procurement to identify cost-saving and productivity opportunities.
• Analyse actual performance against budget, forecast and standard costs, and provide corrective recommendations.
• Oversee inventory control and valuation for raw materials, WIP and finished goods.
• Ensure effective financial controls and compliance with company policies and accuracy of financial information.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to Plant and Senior Management to support business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

Key Requirements:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline; professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent is an advantage.
• * Minimum 8 years of relevant finance/accounting experience, with strong exposure to a manufacturing environment.
• * Solid experience in plant controlling, cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
• * Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production costing, inventory and variance analysis.
• * Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills, with proficiency in Excel and ERP systems.
