Jora Malaysia is seeking a Senior Costing Executive to support end-to-end costing and inventory activities in Malaysia plant operations. The role requires hands-on SAP costing, period-end close, and collaboration with production and engineering teams.

Position Summary
The Senior Costing Executive is responsible for the support of end-to-end costing and inventory activities in Malaysia plant operations.
Core Responsibilities
Responsible for period-end costing activities to ensure period is closed as per agreed timetable in SAP.
Update Entity and Group costing information and prepare recurring and ad hoc costing and inventory reports to facilitate the monthly review and analysis from Corporate and external auditors.
Analyze cost impact and maintain standard costs of new items or revise on existing items in SAP.
Assess and respond to queries in a timely and efficient manner relating to new and customized items.
Prepare costing analysis for any change of material prices due to fluctuations in foreign exchange.
Review work order on a daily basis and identify anomalies and errors. Work with production team to establish work order procedures in SAP.
Monitor Bill of Materials (BOM) and routing and liaise with operations team.
Assess and provide costing analysis for inventory closing.
Support the production, engineering team or others for costing matters.
Prepare all manufacturing related reports e.g. variance analysis and manufacturing expenses for actuals vs budget, etc.
Prepare manufacturing expenses for budget and work with all budget owners.
Prepare cost and margin analysis by products/models/customers.
Net Structural Savings analytical.
Ensure internal controls and SOP is adhered to and provide support to audit process so that the company is able to manage the balance of risk and control effectively (such as Fixed Asset control and policy).
Support continuous improvement opportunities to increase the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the costing related processes.
Analyse Intercompany and Inter regional pricing.
Support monthly inventory provision and slow-moving provision based on inventory accounting policies.
Prepare inventory and inventory provision report.
Involve in warehouse stock count process as a finance counterpart and review the stock count control and follow-up on count variances.
Prepare capital expenditure report for actuals versus budgets and ensure the fixed asset capitalization is adhered to accounting policies.
Manage plant accounting function and ensure accurate accounting record - Fixed Asset, COGS, Inventory, Intangible Asset, overhead prepayment, overhead accruals, and etc.
Qualified Candidates Will Have
Mandatory Requirements
Degree in Accounting / Finance as a minimum education level.
Work experience in food manufacturing for costing role is a must.
English fluency, both written and spoken.
SAP experience.
Working knowledge in accounting is desirable.
Second language is desirable.
Required Behaviors and Skills
Able to perform in dynamic multicultural environment with an adaptive attitude.
Work independently with minimum supervision from superior and proactively engage with operations teams to resolve issues and close any operation and accounting gap.
Able to understand the plant operations and provide an in-depth analysis on the product costing view.
