Job summary

GES Manufacturing Services in Malaysia seeks a Finance Business Partner to support Operations and General Manager with budgeting, cost analysis, and management reporting. You will lead annual budgeting, forecast revenue and costs, and provide insights for strategic decisions.

The role requires 5–10 years of manufacturing finance experience, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in SAP and Power BI. Collaboration with Operations and regional finance teams is essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly management reports for the Malaysia entity.
• Perform detailed analysis of actual vs. budget/forecast results, identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
• Support preparation of dashboards and PBT analysis by customer and other management reports.
• Lead annual budgeting and rolling forecasts for the Malaysian entity.
• Articulate forecast assumptions for revenue, COGS, and production expenses.
• Provide financial insights to support strategic and operational decision-making.
• Act as finance business partner to Operations and General Manager.
• Collaborate with Operations on action plans to improve financial results (PPV, material cost savings, OPBT targets).
• Support Operations in achieving OPBT% targets set by top management.
• Support and review product costing activities; analyze production expenses and manufacturing variances.
• Assist Finance Controller and General Manager in Malaysia Business Review presentations.
• Participate in ad-hoc projects as assigned by Site or Regional Finance leadership.

Prepare and review monthly management reports for the Senai entity.

Perform detailed analysis of actual vs. budget/forecast results to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.

Support preparation of dashboards, PBT analysis by customer, and other management reports, including allocation of common costs.

Budget & Forecasting

Lead annual budgeting and rolling forecasts for the Malaysian entity.

Clearly articulate forecast assumptions for revenue, COGS, and production expenses.

Provide financial insights to support strategic and operational decision-making.

Business Partnering

Act as a finance business partner to Operations and General Manager.

Collaborate with Operations on action plans to improve financial results, including:

PPV claims from customers

Material cost savings initiatives

Support Operations in achieving OPBT% targets set by top management.

Product Costing & Operational Finance

Support and review product costing activities.

Analyze production expenses and manufacturing variances.

Management & Ad-hoc Support

Assist Finance Controller and General Manager in preparing Malaysia Business Review presentations.

Participate in ad-hoc projects as assigned by Site or Regional Finance leadership.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Degree in Accountancy or equivalent professional qualification.

Minimum 5–10 years of relevant experience in financial reporting and analysis, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
