Job summary

Wipro Unza Malaysia is seeking a Planning Manager to drive material planning, purchasing, and production forecasting, linking sales targets to operations. You will own the Master Planning Schedule (MPS) in SAP, manage inventory, and ensure on-time supply for local and export markets.

You will lead a cross-functional team across Production, Sales, Marketing and NPD, driving process improvements, regulatory compliance, and performance reporting to boost profitability.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of proven experience in Planning and Supply Chain planning operations.
• Proactive problem solver with an ability to anticipate bottlenecks, analyze operational pitfalls, and implement effective process improvements.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills to coordinate across production, marketing, and commercial teams.
• High achievement orientation, well-organized, highly resourceful, and committed to meeting both inventory efficiency and customer satisfaction goals.

Responsibilities

• Own and update the monthly Master Planning Schedule (MPS) in SAP, ensuring timely forecast uploads, accurate planned order creation, and aligned pull lists based on Marketing and Export forecasts.
• Guarantee timely and sufficient supply of finished goods for both local and export markets to maximize order fulfillment rates and achieve target Customer Service Levels.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels to balance supply security with working capital targets, actively working with Sales & Marketing to minimize slow-moving inventory and prevent order cancellations.
• Drive end-to-end alignment across Production, Marketing, NPD, and Sales to handle new product introductions, line deletions, and schedule updates seamlessly.
• Continuously monitor production schedules, track unfulfilled stock metrics, prepare executive performance reports, and ensure all operational processes adhere to relevant regulatory and compliance standards.
• Supervise, coach, and support direct and indirect team members to ensure smooth operational workflow and high output quality.
