Job summary

SternMaid Asia Pacific Sdn Bhd is seeking a Supply Chain Planner in Malaysia to forecast and align demand with APAC Sales and Global SCM. You will input data into SAP, coordinate material planning, and support production scheduling to meet customer demand.

The role requires 3–5 years in supply chain/planning and a degree in a related field. Experience with ERP systems and MS Office is preferred, with English and Bahasa Melayu fluency; German/Chinese a plus.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in supply chain, planning and/or procurement.
• Degree holder in Supply Chain, Management, Business Administration and/or Logistics.
• Experience in the food industry is preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems and MS Office is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Forecast demand and coordinate with APAC Regional Sales and Global SCM for Malaysia production.
• Enter collected data into SAP and maintain accuracy.
• Prepare APAC demand forecast in Excel and share with China and Germany.
• Coordinate raw materials forecast to suppliers and HQ.
• Communicate with APAC Sales on material availability and issues.
• Support production planning and scheduling of orders to meet demand.
• Coordinate raw material demand with Purchasing; ensure availability and safety stock.
• Work with Purchasing and Inbound Logistics to track inbound materials.
• Review delivery plans and adjust as necessary.
• Assist APAC Sales to input material costs into SAP for market trends.
• Collaborate with procurement and product stewardship on new materials.
• Escalate expiring materials to APAC Sales for pre-production.
• Monitor raw material inventories and warehouse space planning.
• Analyze Product Costing in SAP and compute standard costs.
• Prepare end-of-month reports: budgeted, forecast, actual sales.

Job description

Overview together with the Team the demand (forecast) from APAC Regional Sales team, as well as from Global SCM for all end products intended for production in Malaysia.

Enter the collected data into SAP and ensure continuous follow-up and update on that data to optimize accuracy on regular basis.

Compiled the APAC demand (forecast) in excel sheet and share to subsidiary in China and Germany.

Preparing raw materials forecast to suppliers and HQ in Germany.

Consistently communicating with APAC Regional Sales team in terms of material availability and other material related issues.

Support Macro production planner and scheduling of all incoming orders to ensure the Company can meet Customers’ demand and requirements in a timely manner.

Allocate the demand for raw materials to the production schedule, ensuring fulfillment of the existing orders.

Create and coordinate the raw material demand plan together with Purchasing, to ensure availability, timely deliveries to Malaysia plant and securing safety stocks according to production schedule and/or sales forecast.

Work closely with Purchasing and Inbound Logistics department to keep track of incoming raw materials to meet/ adjust of production schedule.

Review raw material delivery plan (overall raw materials and strategic raw materials) and amend the delivery plan if necessary.

Assisting APAC Regional Sales team to update material cost as well as to input relevant costs into SAP to facilitate analysis and market trends.

Work closely with procurement and product stewardship team for new materials and finish good introduced.

Escalate to APAC Regional Sales team for raw materials that are close to expiry date, if possible, to produce in advance.

Keep track of raw material inventories and overview finished goods inventories, as well as in/out schedules to assist Warehouse Management in the space planning to keep the warehouse in optimal conditions.

Responsible and analyze on the Product Costing in SAP.

Maintain and Computation of actual and standard costing

Compile and analyze product related costing and reporting

Calculate finished goods (FG) standard cost for selling price

Provide constant feedback to help identify opportunities to improve existing processes to maximize simplicity and achieve a lean supply chain network.

Member of Food Safety Team, responsible to coordinate and improve the food safety issue. Ensure to report if detected any quality or food safety issue and participate in resolving it.

Preparing month end-to-end report – budgeted, forecast, and actual sales comparison.

Educational & Professional Background

3-5 years’ experience in either Supply Chain, Planning and/or Procurement

Degree holder in either Supply Chain, Management, Business Administration and/or Logistics

Prior experience working in, or providing services to, the food industry (or related industries)

Experience with working with ERP systems is preferred.

Proficiency with standard software tools such MS Office

Technical knowledge in Food Hygiene standards, HACCP, FSSC and other food safety requirement.

Fluent in English and Bahasa Melayu, both written and spoken. Ability to speak or write in German and Chinese is an added advantage.
