Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or above in Electrical Engineering.
• 1–2 years in Electrical engineering LV industry or related positions.
• Experience with Low Voltage panel industry is preferred.
• Experience with data interpretation for business reports.

As a Planning Manager/ Team Lead you will be responsible for planning and scheduling of the materials and production required to execute the business. Takes a coordinating lead, working closely with internal and external parties to ensure supply of materials is in place to satisfy production requirements for on time delivery. Able to deliver efficient, effective and flexible solutions to meet production requirements.

Job Responsibilities/tasks/duties

Strategy and Development

• Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice MP&L vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance

General and Task Management

• Supervises requirements planning for department, division, project, or organisation
• Provide monthly, weekly and daily production schedule to ensure products are made efficiently and on time
• Coordinating production operations with the needs for materials, labor, and finished products
• Monitoring the progress of daily production operations and resolving issues
• Leading and encouraging employees to meet production goals
• Reporting on production status and issues to upper management
• Finding ways to improve productivity and reduce costs
• Using market forecasts and competitive analysis to anticipate production changes
• Ensure that material scheduling strategy and processes are in place and work effectively in order to ensure material supply meets production requirements with minimum stock levels, whilst optimising costs
• Take ownership of material and production planning, including over or under delivery and take any follow up actions especially in the event of material shortages that affect production
• Assess volume requirements against planning assumptions
• Seek and recommend solutions to overcome issues arising in order to meet production requirements and address operational risks
• Design, develop and implement flexible solutions to aid business efficiency, drive process improvements and add value
• Ensure that professional and consistent materials planning processes are applied across the business
• Investigate and implement system enhancement initiatives
• Take overall responsibility for obsolete parts process and ensure business is left with minimum liability and minimal waste
• Ensure strategic and operational information, reports and metrics are available to share with others in the business as and when required
• Report on achievement of targets and identify any corrective action

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or above Electrical Engineering Major.
• 1-2 years in Electrical engineering LV industry (Technical office / /design or related positions).
• Experience in Low Voltage panel industry is preferred.
• Responsible and organized.
• Follow up capabilities.
• SAP user or related system is a plus.
• Ability to collect, interpret and present data as required for business reports
• Problem solving - with suppliers and within the plant
• Good working knowledge and experience of using Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems or similar
