Job summary

ASMPT Malaysia is seeking a Senior Material Planner to coordinate demand and material planning to support production. You will generate production orders, arrange shipments, and maintain inventory to ensure streamlined operations.

Responsibilities include collaborating with Production, Engineering, QA, Receiving and Shipping to hit on-time delivery, while maintaining SAP data accuracy and driving ECO activities for phase-outs or substitutions.

Qualifications

• Recognized degree in Management or Engineering or related discipline.
• 2–7 years of material and production planning experience in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of SAP and MRP concepts.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute production material requirements and loadings based on lead times and demand to achieve JIT.
• Maintain optimal material inventory levels.
• Track and expeditate material to ensure smooth production and on-time delivery.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, QA, Receiving and Shipping to meet delivery targets.
• Support ECO activities and alternate sourcing analysis.
• Maintain SAP data accuracy and adjust demand as planned.
• Prepare weekly material FK lists and shortlists.

Handle demand number/PO, material planning and purchase, involves production order generating, shipment arrangement, inventory control, ECO activity involvement, collaborate with multiple plant and department to meet OTD

Responsibilities

Planning and effecting production material requirements and loadings based on the lead time, demand, risk factors and cost to ensure the achieving of JIT (Just-In-Time)

Controlling material inventory level always at an optimal level

Tracking and expediting the material to ensure a smooth production process is in place.

Work closely with Production, Engineering, QA, Receiving, Shipping personnel to ensure achieve on time delivery.

Ensuring a sustainable supply chain was in place through analyzing of equivalent or alternate sourcing of material with working closely with Purchasing, EM and Sister plants.

Involve ECO activity to ensure proper material phase in phase out plan to avoid or minimize exposure of inventory.

Maintain SAP data accuracy. Adjust SAP demand as per plan/requirement.

Prepare material FK list and shortlist in weekly based.

Performing other related duties as per assignment by management from time to time

Skills & Abilities

Possess very good and effective communication skills with all levels within the organization with strong analytical and dynamic coordination ability

Well organized, detailed-oriented and able to work independently under pressure

Good knowledge in MS Office application especially Excel

Possess knowledge of computerized material requirement planning concept is an added advantage i.e. ERP, SAP

Possess knowledge in SAP – MRP scheduling, MM module, Demand planning is a must for Senior Planner.
