Malaysian Resources Corporation Berhad is seeking a Project Planner to assist the System Planning Manager and the Head of Department with day-to-day tracking, reporting, and the development of the Master Programme, Time Chainage Diagram, CIP and related schedules.
The role requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Construction Management, at least 5 years as a Project Planner, and strong knowledge of MS Office and Primavera P6 to monitor interfaces, progress, and
Assist System Planning Manager and the Head of Department on day to day tracking and reporting within his/her scope of works;
Develop and control the Master Programme, Time Chainage Diagram, Coordinated Installation Programme (CIP) and Track Related Installation Programme;
Develop, manage and keep good records of the progress database;
Liaise directly with technical department for development of Master Programme and setting up KPIs and downstream Key dates;
Provide planning/timeline/programme related information or data required by other departments.
Provide planning/timeline/programme related information or data to Contract department for downstream and upstream payment milestone claims;
Involve indirectly with downstream contractual evaluation exercise such as evaluation of Notice of Claims and Extension of Time (EOT);
Monitor and guide system subcontractors' planners for development of the subcontractor's baseline programme and other programmes such as Coordinated Interface Design Programme (CDIP) and Coordinated Installation Programme (CIP);
To review and approval process and ensure that the activities of the various systems supports full compliance with the Employer's Requirements;
Jointly review subcontractors' Monthly Progress Report and other progress reporting documents such as dashboard and material control schedule;
Constantly monitor the performance of the subcontractor and achievement of Key dates;
Periodically validate site progress against progress report;
Monitor and control requirement changes throughout the project life;
Jointly review any technical submission (if required) from System Contractors on section or chapter involving planning/programme.
Identify any foreseen problem on interfaces and provide technical support to relevant parties to devise a workable solution such that impact on cost and programme can be avoided or minimized.
Recommend mitigation measures for delay or changes due to interface/integration problems;
To attend downstream progress meetings and other meetings required;
Ensuring that all issues within the programme are highlighted and understood by Senior Management and giving appropriate planning advice.
Involve in Quality audit or Factory Acceptance Test if required.
Must possess at least Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent discipline
Minimum 5 years of working experience as a Project Planner. Experience in railway subsystems would be an advantage.
General knowledge of Railway System disciplines, knowledge of major aspects of procurement, construction and project controls;
High level of proficiency in MS Office, Primavera P6 and use of software systems for Project Management;
