Job summary

Jora Malaysia welcomes a qualified Project Planner to join our Klang-based team on ongoing infrastructure projects. You will develop, update and monitor schedules, and prepare progress reports and look-ahead plans to support management and clients.

The role requires at least 3 years of project planning experience, a degree in civil engineering or related field, and strong communication and analytical skills. The position starts in Klang for the first year with potential transfer to Penang.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in project planning, preferably in infrastructure projects.
• Strong scheduling, progress measurement and reporting skills.
• Good communication and coordination abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop, update and monitor project schedules in line with milestones.
• Prepare progress reports, look-ahead schedules and S-curves for reporting.
• Monitor progress against baseline and identify delays and risks.
• Coordinate with project teams to ensure timely execution.
• Liaise with clients and project parties on planning matters.
• Analyze performance and suggest recovery actions for delays.
• Maintain records of schedules and planning documents.

Location: Klang for 1st year and subsequently transfer to Penang

Job Responsibilities

• Develop, update and monitor project schedules in line with project requirements and milestones.
• Prepare project progress reports, look-ahead schedules and S-curves for management and client reporting.
• Monitor actual progress against the baseline programme and identify delays, risks and potential impacts.
• Coordinate with project, engineering, procurement, construction and subcontractor teams to ensure timely project execution.
• Liaise with the Client, including Gamuda and other relevant project parties, on planning, progress updates and schedule matters.
• Analyse project performance and recommend recovery plans where delays or slippages are identified.
• Maintain proper records of project schedules, progress data, planning documents and related reports.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in project planning, preferably in construction, infrastructure or LRT projects.
• Good understanding of project scheduling, progress measurement and construction activities.
• Good communication, coordination and analytical skills.
