Responsibilities

  • Provide proper and ongoing assessment of patients, identify problems/needs, develop appropriate treatment and discharge plans relative to age, culture, support system and conditions of patients
  • Provide continuity of care
  • Maintain a safe environment for treatment
  • Provide Patient/Family Education
  • To be responsible for assigned work areas
  • Provide coverage on weekends/ public holidays on rotational basis
  • Respond positively to doctors' requests
  • Develop objectives, determine short and long term goals based on patients/community needs and hospital goals.
  • Responsible to carry out appropriate and accurate recording of statistical data of the Department.
  • Practice efficient billing system
  • Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the working areas
  • Be responsive to requests from Head of Physiotherapy Service and Management.
  • Practice teamwork.
  • Work closely with all staff
  • Act as a resource person to hospital staff and public in areas related to Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation.
  • Responsible for professional growth and development.

Job description

  • Responsible to provide an efficient and effective physiotherapy services to both in and out patients.
  • Required to perform evaluations, coordination and implementation of physiotherapy to patients in order to maximize each patient’s functional abilities.
  • Serve as a patient advocate, assuring that the delivery of physiotherapy meets legal, ethical and institutional standards while adhering to the philosophy, objectives, policies and procedures of the services and organization.
