Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a registered pharmacist to support hospital pharmacy operations, ensuring safe and effective dispensation in line with hospital vision.

You will manage inventory and formulary, supervise staff, ensure legal compliance, and provide quality patient service through accurate dispensing.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist with pharmacy degree and current Malaysian Pharmacy Board registration.
• Experience in a hospital setting with inventory and procurement responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality service in line with the hospital's direction and vision.
• Ensure prescriptions are clinically appropriate and dispensed accurately to the correct patient.
• Maintain proper storage and dispensing of medications to preserve efficacy and quality.
• Conduct monitoring as per schedule.
• Ensure profitability in service areas while complying with SOPs and relevant regulations.
• Supervise staff and manage pharmacy inventory and formulary.
• Provide general administrative support within the Pharmacy Department.

Job Descriptions

• Provide a quality service in line with the direction and vision of the Hospital
• Ensure clinical appropriateness of prescriptions and are accurately dispensed to the correct patient every time
• Ensure medications are stored and dispensed appropriately to maintain the efficacy and quality
• Ensure monitoring is conducted as per schedule
• Ensure profitability in service areas
• Ensure work practices are within the requirements of the law and hospital policies/standard operating procedures (SOP) e.g. Poison Act, Dangerous Drugs Act, Poison (Psychotropic Substances) Regulations and accreditation standards
• Ensure that standards & customers’ expectations are met
• Ensure efficiency in provision of ward supply
• Ensure quality and sterility of medication
• Ensure the provision of an efficient and safe medication practices
• Supervision of work performed by staffs in the service area is in accordance to required standards of performance
• Facilitate the management of pharmacy inventory and formulary
• Provide general administrative support within Pharmacy Department
