Job summary

Hospital Seri Botani in Ipoh, Malaysia is seeking a dedicated storekeeper for the hospital pharmacy. You will receive deliveries, inspect goods, and stock medicines using FEFO principles, while maintaining accurate inventory records and coordinating with procurement.

You will also prepare and distribute IV fluids and medicines to wards, record stock movements, and conduct regular counts to ensure accuracy and compliance with safety standards. Cleanliness and proper housekeeping are essential.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and receive deliveries at the pharmacy store/loading bay.
• Inspect incoming goods and verify quantities, batch numbers, expiry dates, and item condition.
• Store medicines and pharmacy supplies according to FEFO (First Expiry, First Out).
• Maintain accurate inventory records and monitor stock levels.
• Prepare and distribute IV fluids, medicines, and other pharmacy stock to the ward and pharmacy dispensary.
• Record stock movements, returns, damaged and expired items.
• Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile physical stock with inventory records.
• Prepare inventory reports and maintain relevant documentation.
• Coordinate with Procurement and other departments on pharmacy stock requirements.
• Ensure the pharmacy store is clean, organized, and properly maintained.
• Send cardboard boxes for recycling and maintain proper housekeeping.
• Follow company procedures, safety standards, and proper handling practices.
