Job summary

SH Worldwide Logistics Sdn Bhd is seeking a dedicated Truck Driver to join our Penang logistics team. This full-time role involves transporting goods, planning routes, performing vehicle inspections, and maintaining accurate records while upholding safety standards.

You will load and unload cargo, ensure on-time deliveries, and communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers. A valid Class E license and 1–2 years of trucking experience are preferred, with opportunities for professional

About the role

SH Worldwide Logistics Sdn Bhd is seeking a dedicated and professional Truck Driver to join our logistics operations team in Penang. This is a full-time position based in Penang, where you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials across various routes, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism. As a key member of our warehousing, storage and distribution operations, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our reputation for reliable and efficient service delivery.

What you'll be doing

• Operating and maintaining company vehicles to transport goods safely and efficiently to designated destinations
• Planning routes and managing delivery schedules to ensure on-time arrivals and customer satisfaction
• Conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify maintenance issues and report defects promptly
• Loading, securing and unloading cargo in compliance with safety regulations and company procedures
• Maintaining accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, deliveries and vehicle maintenance
• Adhering to all traffic laws, safety regulations and company driving policies at all times
• Communicating effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery status and any issues
• Ensuring cleanliness and organisation of the vehicle interior and cargo area
• Handling customer interactions professionally and representing the company in a positive manner
• Participating in regular safety training and refresher courses as required

What we're looking for

• Valid Class E ('Bersendi') GDL driving licence with a clean driving record
• Minimum of 1-2 years of professional truck driving experience in a logistics or distribution environment
• Strong knowledge of road safety regulations, traffic laws and vehicle maintenance procedures
• Excellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to meet delivery deadlines consistently
• Professional communication skills and the ability to interact courteously with customers and colleagues
• Physical fitness to perform loading and unloading tasks safely
• Reliability and punctuality with a strong commitment to health and safety protocols
• Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and basic vehicle troubleshooting
• Ability to work independently whilst maintaining high standards of professionalism
