Job summary

PT Talenta Eksekutif Asia is seeking a Deputy Head of Malaysia Branch to lead the Malaysia operation from Penang. The role focuses on branch development, local team building, and cross-border logistics coordination with the China headquarters.

The ideal candidate has deep knowledge of the Malaysian logistics market, strong relationships in electronics manufacturing, and proven overseas-branch experience. Fluent English and Chinese are essential, Malay preferred for local communications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent from a recognized university.
• Minimum 5 years in logistics, with 2+ years in team leadership.
• Proven track record in logistics operations, BD, or related fields.
• Strong understanding of Malaysia’s logistics market and regulations.
• Experience in overseas branch setup is highly preferred.
• Fluent English and Chinese; Malay preferred for local communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead the establishment and day-to-day management of the Malaysia branch.
• Develop localized systems, processes, reporting, and procedures.
• Build and manage local teams across operations, sales, and CS.
• Manage relationships with local logistics providers and partners.
• Coordinate tax, labor, customs, transport, and regulatory compliance.
• Develop B2B relationships within electronics manufacturing in Penang.
• Collaborate with China HQ to optimize cross-border logistics links.
• Monitor KPIs and ensure compliant, cost-efficient operations.
• Provide regular updates to China headquarters on performance.
