Job summary

MatchaTalent is seeking a Deputy Head of Malaysia Branch to lead the Penang operation and establish a robust local presence. The role covers branch management, business development, and team development across operations, sales, and customer service in a fast-growing market.

The ideal candidate will drive cross-border logistics with the China headquarters, manage regulatory compliance, and build relationships with local electronics manufacturers and industry partners in Penang and nearby hubs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent from a recognized university.
• Minimum 5 years in logistics with at least 2 years in team management.
• Experience in electronics manufacturing logistics is preferred.
• Strong Chinese and English communication skills; Malay preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the establishment, development, and day-to-day management of the Malaysia branch.
• Develop localized management systems and reporting mechanisms.
• Build and manage local teams across operations, sales, and customer service.
• Coordinate cross-border logistics with China headquarters.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with Malaysian customs and transportation laws.
• Provide regular operational and business development updates to HQ.
