Job summary

Visa Malaysia is seeking a Consulting Director in its VCA team to lead end-to-end consulting engagements for key payments clients, delivering strategy, design and analytics with client‑facing impact.

You will develop proposals, manage project plans and partner with product, risk and data teams to drive ROI and new engagement opportunities while mentoring teams in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 years of relevant experience in consulting, corporate strategy, banking or business management.
• Senior-level experience in Big 4, MBB or boutique consulting firms and equivalent players is valued.
• Good knowledge of the payments industry landscape and developments in Malaysia.
• Excellent client relationship management with strong sales orientation and experience in selling major projects to senior management.
• Robust experience in execution and implementation with measurable business impact.
• Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong presentation skills, both oral and written.
• Self-motivated, results-oriented and able to manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Strong commercial acumen with experience in business/value cases that prove ROI.
• Exposure to customer experience design using human-centered design principles.

Responsibilities

• Deliver end-to-end consulting engagements for key issuing, acquiring, merchant & fintech clients.
• Develop client proposals, project plans and identify dependencies, roles and deliverables.
• Interact with client senior executives to drive strategy and value realization.
• Lead research, analysis and presentation of findings with compelling recommendations.
• Collaborate with product, marketing, risk and data teams to leverage Visa resources.
• Identify revenue opportunities and sell-in new client engagements.
• Contribute to thought leadership and future payment innovations.
