Job summary

Visa Inc. in Malaysia seeks a Consulting Director to lead end-to-end engagements for key issuing, acquiring, merchant and fintech clients.

You will define project scope, manage client inputs, analyze data, and present actionable recommendations while collaborating with cross-functional teams. The role covers payment strategy, portfolio design, value proposition refresh, people enablement, and digital payments initiatives, with data-driven insights and potential AI model deployments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 years of relevant experience in consulting, corporate strategy, banking or business management.
• Senior-level experience in Big 4, MBB or boutique firms and equivalent players is valued.
• Good knowledge of the payments industry landscape and developments in Malaysia.
• Excellent client relationship management with strong sales orientation and experience in selling major projects to senior management.
• Robust experience in execution and implementation, driving initiatives to deliver concrete business impact or value (cost savings, new product launch, revenue uplift).
• Superior analytical and problem-solving skills with intellectual rigor.
• Strong team orientation, collaborative, diplomatic and flexible in a matrixed organization.
• Excellent presentation skills and strong oral/written capabilities.
• Self-motivated, results-oriented with ability to progress multiple projects concurrently.
• Strong commercial acumen and ROI-focused experience.
• Exposure to customer experience design and design thinking.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development of Visa Consulting offerings and engagement delivery in Malaysia to help Visa clients protect and grow payments.
• Develop trusted advisor relationships with client senior executives through impactful consulting engagements.
• Partner with peers in product, marketing, risk and innovation to execute projects leveraging Visa resources.
• Prepare client proposals and project plans with clear scope, deliverables, and responsibilities.
• Deliver project engagements by preparing materials including interview guides, data requirements, concepts and frameworks.
• Conduct industry research to distill insights relevant to client problems.
• Create compelling presentations to illustrate findings and recommendations in engagements.
• Support Thought Leadership projects on the future of payment for clients and partners.
