Job summary

MIRANDAH ASIA (MALAYSIA) SDN BHD invites capable professionals to join its IP team in Kuala Lumpur. The role focuses on handling patent enquiries and prosecution, reviewing patent specifications, and providing pre-filing advice to clients with patent searches and drafting support.

Ideal candidates hold a science degree (Chemistry/Biochemistry) or engineering (Electrical/Electronics/Computer/Telecommunications), are proficient in English, and are comfortable with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Requires a degree in Science (Chemistry/Biochemistry) or Engineering (Electrical/Electronics/Computer/Telecommunications).
• Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
• PC literate with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Handle all patent enquiries from clients.
• Handle all patent prosecution matters including review of patent specifications and amendments in compliance with Patent Acts 1983.
• Provide pre-filing advice to clients for new inventions, including conducting patent searches and drafting specifications.
• Other duties as assigned by the Head of Department.

We are a well-established Intellectual Property consultancy with a network of offices in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines and Vietnam and we are currently seeking capable and motivated individuals to join our dynamic team at our Malaysian office in Kuala Lumpur.

JOB REQUIREMENT

Candidate must possess at least a Degree in Science preferably in Chemistry or Biochemistry or a Degree in any Engineering field preferably in Electrical and Electronics or Computer or Telecommunications.

Candidate must be proficient in the English language both written and spoken.

PC literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Hardworking, highly motivated and able to work under pressure in a fast paced environment.

Possess good work ethics.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

To handle to all Patent enquiries from clients.

To handle all Patent prosecution matters including the following:

a) Review of Patent Specification.

b) Making necessary amendments to Patent specification in compliance to Patent Acts 1983.

c) Provide pre-filing advice to client for new inventions inclusive of conducting Patent search and drafting of Patent Specifications.

Any other roles and responsibilities as assigned by the Head of Department.
