Job summary

Agensi Pekerjaan PeopleLAKE Sdn Bhd’s client, a leading Malaysian law firm, seeks a Senior Associate or Partner with at least 5 years PQE in construction law to join its team. You will advise on contracts, disputes, adjudication, arbitration, and related documentation, while managing client relationships.

Partner-level candidates should drive business development and contribute to growing the Construction Practice.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of PQE in construction law, focusing on disputes, adjudication, arbitration and/or litigation.
• Strong legal drafting, analytical, negotiation and advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage matters independently and deliver practical, commercially focused legal advice.
• Excellent communication and client management skills.

Our client, an established law firm, is seeking a Senior Associate or Partner with at least 5 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) to join its team.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on construction-related matters, including construction contracts, contractual claims and project disputes.
• Handle construction adjudication, arbitration, litigation and other dispute resolution proceedings.
• Draft, review and advise on construction contracts, consultancy agreements and related legal documentation.
• Provide legal advice on contractual risks, project execution and dispute resolution strategies.
• Manage client relationships and work closely with clients and other stakeholders.
• For Partner-level candidates, drive business development, develop client relationships and contribute to the growth of the Construction Practice.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of PQE in construction law, particularly construction disputes, adjudication, arbitration and/or litigation.
• Strong legal drafting, analytical, negotiation and advocacy skills.
