Job summary

INTI International University & Colleges is seeking a Part-Time / Full-Time Lecturer in IT, Cybersecurity & Artificial Intelligence to deliver lectures and supervise related academic activities. Responsibilities include creating course materials, assessments, exams, and providing student guidance.

Collaboration with the Head of Programme is required to maintain standards. Applicants should hold a Master’s or PhD in a related field (or MQA-recognised equivalent) and demonstrate strong English

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in IT/CS/Cybersecurity/AI/Cloud Computing or equivalent MQA-recognised qualification.
• Strong command of English; ability to communicate with students.
• Experience in higher education teaching and postgraduate supervision preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Learning Management Systems (LMS). Data analytic skills an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver lectures, tutorials, and teaching activities in line with the approved course structure.
• Prepare examinations, quizzes, tests, assignments, and grade lists.
• Provide academic assistance and guidance to students and be available for consultations.
• Invigilate examinations and ensure compliance with exam procedures and academic integrity.
• Collaborate with Head of Programme to meet programme requirements.

Job description

Part-Time / Full-Time Lecturer – IT, Cybersecurity & Artificial Intelligence

Prepare and deliver lectures, tutorials, and other teaching activities in accordance with the approved course structure and unit outline.

Provide academic assistance and guidance to students and be available for consultation for a minimum of 2 hours per week by appointment.

Upload and maintain online teaching and learning materials, including updating textbook lists and relevant reference materials.

Prepare and set examination papers, quizzes, tests, assignments, and other assessments as required.

Mark assignments, tests, quizzes, examination scripts, and other assessments, and prepare grade lists accordingly.

Attend Pre-Board meetings and other academic meetings as required.

Work closely with the Head of Programme at INTI, primarily through email and other appropriate communication channels, to ensure that course content and academic standards meet programme requirements.

Prepare and compile relevant teaching manuals, course materials, and Subject Files in accordance with institutional requirements.

Invigilate examinations and ensure compliance with examination procedures and academic integrity requirements.

Attend required training organised or instructed by INTI's Teaching & Learning Office, Human Resources, Faculty/Centre, or other relevant departments.

Attend relevant staff meetings and academic briefings as required.

Perform other teaching-related duties and responsibilities as assigned from time to time.

Role Requirements

Education/Academic Qualification

A Master's Degree or PhD/Doctorate in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, or a related field.

Alternatively, equivalent professional qualifications or other qualifications recognised by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA), subject to the programme requirements.

Language Skills

Good command of the English language.

IT Skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office and Learning Management Systems (LMS).

Knowledge of other IT software relevant to teaching and learning is an advantage.

Data analytical skills are an added advantage.

Experience

Relevant teaching, research, industry, or professional experience in the respective academic discipline is preferred.

Experience in higher education and postgraduate supervision will be an added advantage.
