Job summary

O2 Design Atelier Sdn Bhd, Malaysia, seeks a Part 2 Architect with a minimum of 2 years' post-graduation experience to join our Kelana Jaya, Selangor office. This full-time role offers an opportunity to advance your architectural career across a diverse project portfolio.

As a Part 2 Architect, you will work under senior architects, developing design development, documentation, and project delivery skills, bridging concept and construction while pursuing full registration.

Qualifications

• Part 2 architectural qualification or equivalent professional status in Malaysia.
• Minimum 2 years of post-graduation professional experience in an architectural practice or related design environment.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit or BIM tools.
• Solid understanding of building codes and local regulations in Malaysia.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Attention to detail and ability to produce accurate technical documentation.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and follow direction from seniors.
• Interest in sustainable design and continuous professional development.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed design proposals and technical drawings for residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects.
• Prepare construction documentation, specifications, and details per building codes and standards.
• Support the design team with presentation materials, 3D visuals, and project proposals for clients.
• Conduct site visits and surveys to inform design decisions.
• Liaise with consultants, contractors, and clients to ensure design intent is understood and implemented.
• Assist with planning submissions and statutory approvals processes.
• Contribute to project management activities, including scheduling and budgeting.
• Research materials, construction methodologies, and design precedents for project development.
• Support sustainability initiatives in design solutions.
• Participate in design reviews and collaborative sessions.
