Job summary

Plato Industry (M) Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Packing Supervisor to oversee packing operations in a fast-paced manufacturing setting in Malaysia. The role focuses on guiding workers, ensuring correct packing methods and maintaining product quality before transfer to the warehouse.

You will collaborate with Customer Service to meet customer-specific packaging requirements, coordinate with Quality Control for inspections, and uphold housekeeping and accurate records for daily reporting.

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM or equivalent.
• Minimum 1-2 years of working experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with experience in packing or production operations.
• Experience in supervising or leading workers will be an added advantage.
• Basic computer knowledge, including data entry, reporting, and inventory management.
• Good communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and coordinate effectively with production and QC teams.
• Willing to work overtime when required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and guide packing workers to ensure proper implementation of packing methods, procedures, and work standards.
• Monitor and report packing activities to ensure product quality, quantity and packing specification are met before product transfer to warehouse.
• Work closely with the Customer Service Department to understand and implement customer-specific requirements for packing accessories, packing methods, labelling, and other packaging specifications.
• Work closely with Quality Control to coordinate on inspections and resolve quality-related issues.
• Maintain cleanliness, tidiness, and proper housekeeping in the packing area including storage, ongoing, and final packing areas.
• Ensure products are properly stored, labelled, segregated, and placed in designated areas.
• Maintain accurate production, quality, compliance and maintenance records, and prepare daily performance reports.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by Management.
