Job summary

Airswift is seeking a Packaging Development Executive to drive new packaging designs and development. The role involves creating mock-ups, conducting tests, and validating packaging solutions aligned with customer requirements.

Responsibilities include coordinating with Production and Sales for samples, performing lab tests, and maintaining thorough documentation. A degree in science/engineering and 1-2 years of related experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years experience in packaging design, packaging engineering, product development, or related manufacturing field.
• Knowledge of corrugated packaging, foam cushioning, and wooden packaging systems.
• Basic understanding of packaging testing and product protection.
• Knowledge of packaging regulations and standards (ISTA, ASTM, ISO) is a plus.
• Know how to read technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop new product packaging, including design assessments, testing and validation.
• Prepare packaging mock-ups for internal developments and for customer requests.
• Carry out transit packaging testing per applicable procedures and maintain records of specifications, iterations, and progress.
• Support CDVE assignments as needed.

Job Title: Packaging Development Executive

Employment: Permanent

Work hours: Mon-Fri (8am-6pm)

Key Responsibilities:

Design and Development

• Responsible for new product packaging design developments, including but
• not limited to design assessments, testing and validation.
• Responsible for preparing packaging mock-ups for internal developments and
• upon customer requests.
• Responsible for transit packaging testing pertaining to design development as
• per international or customer procedure.
• Maintain accurate records of packaging specifications, design iterations,
• development progress, lessons learnt and project documentation.
• Support Cost Down Value Engineering (CDVE) assignments as needed.

Customer Service

• Coordinate sample preparation with Production and Sales Dept.
• Attend customer and supplier meeting
• Support R&D team prepare sample.
• Perform lab test (compression, grammage and bursting test for samples.)
• Check the printing block & die cut mould of samples.

Key Requirements:

• Degree in Science & Engineering, Packaging Engineering Industrial Design, or related field.
• 1-2 years experience in packaging design, packaging engineering, product development, or related manufacturing field.
• Knowledge of corrugated packaging, foam cushioning, and wooden packaging systems.
