Job summary

Randstad Malaysia is seeking a high-energy Key Account Executive to manage and grow our FMCG manufacturing client portfolio. You will serve as the primary bridge between the company and major clients, overseeing daily account operations and coordinating packaging development projects.

You will work with internal R&D, design and manufacturing teams to ensure delivery of packaging solutions that meet technical and commercial requirements, while tracking proposals, costs, and order fulfilment.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of account management experience in packaging.
• Experience in FMCG consumer packaging (Food, Beverage or Personal Care).
• Ability to understand technical packaging specs and data sheets.
• Excellent communication, highly organized, proactive problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Serve as day-to-day contact for assigned FMCG key accounts.
• Coordinate packaging development projects with R&D, design, and plants.
• Prepare commercial proposals and manage costing sheets.
• Track production schedules and ensure on-time deliveries to sites.
• Identify new business opportunities in FMCG sectors.

In this role, you will act as the primary bridge between the company and major FMCG manufacturing clients. You will manage daily account operations, coordinate custom packaging development projects, and ensure seamless delivery of packaging solutions that meet the technical and commercial requirements of fast-moving consumer brands.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the day-to-day point of contact for assigned FMCG key accounts, maintaining strong client satisfaction and retention.
• Work closely with internal R&D, design, and manufacturing plants to facilitate packaging sample developments, technical specifications, and trials for clients.
• Prepare commercial proposals, manage costing sheets, and track order fulfilment pipelines.
• Track production schedules and inventory levels to ensure packaging materials are delivered seamlessly to client manufacturing sites, preventing line stoppages.
• Assist in mapping out new business opportunities within the FMCG food, beverage, or personal care sectors to expand the business portfolio.

Requirements

• Minimum 1–2 years of account management experience, specifically within the packaging industry.
• Direct experience working within or supplying to the FMCG industry (Food, Beverage or Personal Care).
• Familiarity with consumer packaging formats; experience in flexible packaging or rigid paper/plastic packaging is highly advantageous but not mandatory.
• Ability to understand technical packaging specifications, blueprints, and manage data sheets effectively.
• Excellent communication skills, highly organized with strong project tracking capabilities, and a proactive attitude towards client problem-solving.
