Job summary

JAYA GROCER is seeking a hands-on operational team member based at Sunway Geo Avenue in Malaysia. The role involves daily operations, food and beverage preparation, and ensuring brand standards are met across service areas.

You will maintain food quality, hygiene, and safety while coordinating inventory and ensuring KPI targets are achieved. This position requires flexibility to work weekends and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in fast-paced cafe/restaurant or food production.
• Understanding of Food Safety and Operation compliance.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• Willingness to travel to regional locations as required.
• Hands-on, follows SOP and open to new menu ideas.
• Flexible hours, including weekends/holidays as needed.
• Strong commitment to quality and achieving KPIs.

Responsibilities

• Execute daily operations following SOP, including Customer Service & Food and Drinks Preparation.
• Maintain brand standards for food quality, consistency in taste, portion, and presentation.
• Ensure customer experience meets company standards; maintain the quality of the Food and Beverage.
• Control wastage, manage stock usage, and portion control; monitor inventory and ordering.
• Ensure outlet hygiene, safety, and proper food handling; maintain grooming.

Role

This role will be based at Sunway Geo Avenue

• 1. Daily Operations
  • - Execute daily operations following SOP including Customer Service & Food and Drinks Preparation
  • - Ensure smooth workflow and coordination between stations
  • - Maintain fast and consistent Services
• 2. Food Quality & Consistency
  • - Ensure all food meets brand standards & SOP
  • - Maintain consistency in taste, portion, and presentation
  • - Conduct daily quality check
  • - Ensure Food is served within target timing
• 3. Quality of Service
  • - Ensure customer experience is up to company standards
  • - Maintain the quality of the Food and Beverage
• 4. Inventory Control
  • - Control wastage, stock usage, and portioning
  • - Monitor daily inventory & ordering
• 5. Hygiene & Safety
  • - Ensure outlet complies with Brands Hygiene Standard
  • - Maintain cleanliness and proper food handling
  • - Ensure personal grooming is up to company standards
  • - Perform any other duties in general operational functions and ad-hoc assignments

Job Requirements

• - Minimum of 1 year of experience in a fast-paced, high-traffic cafe/restaurant, or food production environment, though passionate fresh candidates are highly encouraged to apply
• - Understanding of Food Safety and Operation compliance
• - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams - operations, executives, and suppliers
• - Ability to travel to different regional locations as required
